Kızılay set up a tent sewing workshop in 1954 to shelter the victims of disasters. Over the years it grew, developed its production capacity and technology, and diversified its products and sales channels.

Kızılay Barınma Sistemleri is a subsidiary of Kızılay Yatırım. All of its income goes to Kızılay and is spent on humanitarian aid.

Our History

Kızılay Began Its Work

Since 1868, Kızılay has made it its duty to help people affected by disasters.

Tent Sewing Workshop Founded

To extend its aid to shelter as well, it set up a tent sewing workshop in 1954.

Workshop Enlarged

When tent stocks ran low in the 1957 Fethiye and Bolu earthquakes, it was decided to enlarge the workshop and improve its means.

Tent Production Centre Restructured

In 2005 the Tent Production Centre was restructured as a business.

Settlement Systems Production Plant

Renamed the Settlement Systems Production Plant in 2009, the business developed its production models over the years; with its plants in Kızılay, Ankara and Erzincan it became the main producer of high-quality disaster tents.

Kızılay Barınma Sistemleri Founded

Restructured as Kızılay Barınma Sistemleri in 2019, our organisation meets the need for temporary shelter in any emergency fast, with modern and reliable plants and efficient quality control tracking systems.

Malatya Production Plant Opened

With the Malatya Production Plant, begun in 2020 and completed in mid-2021, container, prefabricated and light steel production began too, offering solutions from the most basic temporary shelter unit to permanent housing.

With an average daily capacity of 250 tents, the Ankara Tent Production Centre is one of the largest plants in Europe.
Malatya Container, Prefabricated and Light Steel Production Centre

The Malatya Production Centre makes container, prefabricated and light steel buildings under one roof, answering a wide range of needs up to permanent housing.
