Environmental Policy

As Kızılay Barınma, we are committed to using energy efficiently in our operations and to continually improving our Energy Management System and energy performance.

To keep this commitment, we have adopted the following principles as our policy, in keeping with our energy use, consumption pattern and scale;

In our fight against climate change, and with national and international directives in mind, we will work to protect the environment, reduce energy consumption and increase energy efficiency, adding value to the low-carbon economy that is one of the cornerstones of sustainable development. We will put in place practices that suit the organisation's purpose and context, support its strategic direction and meet the needs of internal and external customers.

We will follow all applicable legislation and other requirements on energy use, efficiency and consumption, and act on them promptly. The objectives and targets we set will be reviewed periodically, and the resources needed to reach them will be provided.

We will support designing in-plant equipment, systems and processes in a way that improves energy performance in energy consumption, use and efficiency. Energy performance will also be considered in the design of the vessels built in our facility.

Through training and information to build an awareness of efficiency among our employees, losses and leaks will be reduced and energy efficiency achieved. Support will be given to purchasing energy-efficient products and services that can affect energy performance.

Energy performance, regularly reviewed, evaluated and continually improved by top management, will sustain the Energy Management System and make it part of our corporate culture. We commit to and declare that we will provide the resources our Energy Management System needs to achieve its objectives and targets, and report and evaluate its performance.
